One of the biggest supporters of Texas music is gone. A lady who worked to bring health care to thousands of Austin musicians has died.

Robin Shivers died in her sleep Monday night, according to a spokesperson for the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians, an organization Shivers helped create.  More than 1,400 hundred Austin-area musicians received low-cost health care as a result of HAAM. It was formed in 2005, following the efforts of Shivers and Diana Resnick of the Seton family of hospitals.
