But tomorrow night, a group of musicians plan to revive the memories of Joe and his pals when they present “Mad Dogs and Englishmen.”Mad Dogs Keyboards “Mad Dogs” was a highly popular concert and album, featuring Cocker, Leon Russell and Rita Coolidge, among others. The revival is a brainchild of Frisco resident Michael Reames. After attending a recent rehearsal, I can say Michael has gathered in a bunch of talent to make this work. I am often leery of anything tribute oriented. But these guys are good. Mad Dogs HornsThe original “Mad Dogs” featured a choir, a three-piece horn section, and several drummers. The new version has a choir, a five-piece horn section and two drummers. The voices are eerily spot on. The keyboard sounds like Leon Russell has shown up to play. All in all, this promises to be a fun show. “Mad Dogs”
