Texas Performers Going Greek

A couple of pretty good Texas-bred performers, along with another star who loves to play in Texas, will soon be expanded to Greece – sort of.
Jack Ingram and the Eli Young Band have been chosen to join the list of performers headlined by Rodney Atkins at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles this Sunday evening. The three acts are part of the “Summer Under the Stars” program, according to the Academy of Country Music.
The Eli Young band is no stranger to the Texas Music Journal. The group from Denton has been rising steadily in popularity among country and pop fans around the country. Jack Ingram has been lauded as one of the hottest Texas acts in the country for the past few years. And while Rodney Atkins is not a native of Texas, TMJ has featured him as one of those Nashville performers who love to come and perform in front of appreciative Texas crowds.
