(Editor’s Note: The following is from Music City Texas)

On Saturday, August 21st, MCT is pleased to present our annual Summer Bluegrass show hosted by the legendary Hickory Hill. Our A/C is in good working order, so come and enjoy the show in cool comfort. As an added treat, Linda King will be bringing her famous Chicken & Dumplings to tickle your tastebuds and bring back the memories of our old 1st Saturday shows. Better get there early before they all get ‘et up.

The award winning Hickory Hill will be bringing their newest member, Jake Jenkins, who is renowned in the Bluegrass world. Jake also picks the fire out of the guitar, so you never know what he’ll do next. But you can count on it being great! And, of course, Hickory Hill, as a whole, is always wonderfully entertaining.

In the past, the band’s good friend, Mike Powell, has come to act as Master of Ceremonies at our two annual Bluegrass events. Mike is quite an entertainer in his own right, so this time they’ve asked him to open the show with his own solo set. He has a pretty good sense of humor, so it will blend well with Hickory Hill’s craziness.

The show will kick off around 7:30 and tickets are a reasonable $15.00 at the door or in advance. If you call the theater at 903-756-9934 and get your tickets in advance, then we’ll have a better idea of who all is coming and we might just be able to get Linda King to make some extra Chicken & Dumplings so nobody has to go hungry. Our box office is ready to take calls from 10:00am to 3:00pm weekdays, so don’t hesitate to give us a call.

As always, we appreciate your support in sustaining Music City Texas Theater’s ongoing mission to provide Linden, Cass County and all of East Texas with the finest entertainment available.
