Fort Worth-born singer-songwriter and now recording artist Hudson Moore’s first single from his debut album, FIREWORKS (February 22), the compelling love song “Cloudy Day,” about longing in a long-distance relationship, is working its way through radio stations.
Moore is the young artist studying radio-television-film at the University of Texas who recently made the jump to recording studio to make an album of his original alt.-country, pop-rock music that he could no longer hold inside.
“This 20-year-old University of Texas student has got mad potential. If you’re too old for Bieber but not ready for Nick
Cave, we’ve got your melody
man. Moore’s debut LP, FIREWORKS, is full of finely crafted pop rock, could play on a bill with: Jason Mraz, John Mayer, Maroon 5,” it said.
Moore’s sound is a combination of his Texas country roots and pop-rock sensibility infused with other genres he loves. With a groove and a melody at the heart of the upbeat songs he creates, “Cloudy Day,” with its rock-soul-roots-pop blend, highlights Moore’s supple tenor voice and smart lyrics and outstanding talents of Moore and the band.
“… FIREWORKS goes well with a cold glass of lemonade or with the top down on a forgotten Texas highway,” said PegasusNews.com.
Hudson Moore’s upcoming shows include:
May 14, Main Street Days, Grapevine, Texas
May 26, Stubb’s BBQ, Austin
