(Press Release by Kyle “Scoot” Drescher for The Mark Monaco Band)

Texas songwriter/recording artist Mark Monaco has been invited to showcase his songs at the world-famous Bluebird Café in Nashville. The event is being held Tuesday December 8th at 6pm and will feature Jonathan Cain of Journey (co-wrote Don’t Stop Believin’, Faithfully, Open Arms), country artists Brian White and Michael Peterson, as well as Rick Barron. The showcase is sponsored by Sharp Objects, a Music Row-based song-plugging group that represents Mark Monaco and his publishing company Pancho Villa Music.

Monaco will be performing selections from his three studio albums as well as some new unreleased material from his catalog. This show will mark his first appearance in Music City in nearly two years and Monaco says “I’m really psyched about not only playing the Bluebird again, but also about being on the bill with such an amazing line-up of artists.”

The show will benefit the Mary Parrish Center, www.maryparrish.org. Ticket information at www.bluebirdcafe.com. Kyle “Scoot” Drescher and The Mark Monaco Band/Mad Cow Productions are online at www.markmonaco.com and can be reached at madcowprod [at] hotmail [dot] com.
