(Editor’s Note: The following story comes from Time Warner Cable in Austin.)   Texas music legends are coming together in October to benefit the Bastrop County relief efforts. Willie Nelson, the Dixie Chicks, Lyle Lovett and Asleep at the Wheel will headline “Fire Relief: The Concert for Central Texas” which will take place at the Frank Erwin Center on Oct. 17. Kyle Chandler and Turk Pipkin will host the event which includes special guests Eric Johnson, Steve Miller, Shawn Colvin and the Courtyard Hounds, Joe Satriani and the Texas Tornados. All proceeds from the concert will go to the Central Texas Wildfire Fund at the Austin Community Foundation. According to a spokesperson with the concert, the event’s goal is to help displaced and affected families cope with long-term problems stemming from the fire.
