Email this Post Print this Post

Western swing is coming to a theater in Grand Prairie this weekend. As part of a February/March tour through Texas, Hot Club of Cowtown will perform Saturday at 8pm at the Uptown Theater.

Since their first recording in 1998, the Austin-based band has grown to be the

most globe-trotting, hardest-swinging western swing trio on the planet. They have opened stadiums for such artists as Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson and continue to bring their brand of western swing to a wide range of festival audiences all over the world. Drawing inspiration from jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt, violinist Stephane Grappelli’s Hot Club of France, and from Bob Willis, the King of western swing, the trio has taken traditional western swing to a whole new level.

Individual tickets for Hot Club of Cowtown cost $16-$21.
