Billy Bob’s Texas, billed as the world’s largest honky tonk, is getting ready to give back – again. The 5th Annual Pickin’ for Preemies Acoustic Jam, benefiting Cook Children’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), will take place Sept. 6 from 5pm-9pm. It’s an entertaining evening of music, families and BBQ including more than a dozen of the hottest Texas Red Dirt Artists. The exceptional dedication of talent has provided for an ‘A-List’ in Texas Music year after year. Guest artists for 2010 are Mike Ryan, Steve Helms, Phil Hamilton, Roger Creager, Jamie Richards, Sonny Burgess, Cory Morrow, Johnny Cooper, Brandon Rhyder, Walt Wilkins, Bobby Duncan, Randy Rogers, Wade Bowen, Jason Boland, and Cody Canada! Tickets are $25 in advance or $35 at the door and are available through Ticketmaster.com and Billy Bob’s Box Office. All proceeds go directly to Cook Children’s Health Foundation benefiting the NICU. The giving does not stop there at Billy Bob’s. Thursday, Sept. 16 at 8pm, Neal McCoy will perform. His concert will benefit Fort Worth Community in Schools. Reserved seats are $25 and general admission is $15. For more information on these and other concerts, visit www.billybobstexas.com.
