Austin, TX — Austin roots-rock band Reckless Kelly members Cody and Willy Braun and Jay Nazz were on the field June 23 at Round Rock’s Dell Diamond before the Round Rock Express-Albuquerque Isotopes game to present four checks totaling $35,000 to members and representatives of four area youth baseball groups — the Miracle Leagues at Town & Country and San Antonio, Balcones Little League and Montopolis Little League — proceeds from the band’s 2nd Celebrity Softball Jam, which was held in April at the ballpark.

More than 5,000 fans filled the stands for the softball game and outfield concert that featured two teams, Sultans of Sing and One Hit Wonders, made up of sports greats and musicians such as MLB players Greg Swindell and Kirk Dressendorfer, boxing champion Jesse James Lieja and NFL players Ahmad Brooks and Eric Winston mixed with members of Reckless Kelly, Cross Canadian Ragweed, the Randy Rogers Band and The Trishas as Ray Benson and many others.

Coaches Reid and Reese Ryan watched as One Hit Wonders, led by Reckless Kelly front man Willy Braun, routed Sultans of Sing, lead by Reckless Kelly co-founder and fiddle player Cody Braun. Guests were invited to bring blankets and chairs onto the field for the five-hour jam and fireworks finale.
