LoneStarMusic.com will be hosting a special screening of the Golden Globe-winning film Crazy Heart at the Angelika Theater at Mockingbird Station in Dallas tonight at 8PM. The event will honor “Best Original Song” winner, Ryan Bingham.
Among the 300 attendees will be Ryan Bingham and the Dead Horses band members Corby Schaub, Elijah Ford and Matthew Smith. Local musicians Max Stalling, Deryl Dodd, Ed Burleson and David Perez (Tejas Brothers) will also be in attendance.
Gifts will be raffled, including a guitar signed by Ryan Bingham and the Dead Horses, Hayes Carll, Wade Bowen, Bob Schneider, Randy Rogers, Kevin Fowler, and members of Reckless Kelly. Other items include autographed copies of Bingham’s latest CD, “Roadhouse Sun”.
The screening coincides with the release of the Crazy Heart soundtrack, which will be available at the screening. Ryan Bingham’s song “The Weary Kind” was honored as “Best Original Song” at the 2010 Golden Globes on Sunday. Grammy-winning writer/producer T Bone Burnett oversaw all aspects of the soundtrack compilation, composing and assembling all music prior to shooting.
LoneStarMusic.com will host a meet and greet in the Café at the Angelika from 7-8PM. The event is sold out due to overwhelming response.
