By Sam Moore When Texas Music Reporter began operations a few years ago, one of the first stories we covered was the debut of a new venue in Arlington, called the Levitt Pavilion. Now, we are happy to say that the Levitt is celebrating five years of fantastic musical entertainment for Texas. The Levitt reached its milestone with new attendance records, an extended
concert season and a star-studded concert calendar. This year, more than 123 thousand people enjoyed free concerts. They came from 79 cities in 10 states. TMJ covered the inaugural show five years ago, a fantastic concert by Texas native B.J. Thomas. In 2013, some big names continued to draw crowds. The Polyphonic Spree, Delta Rae, Old 97’s, Pentatonix
and Ronnie Milsap provided a diverse lineup. Almost 2,500 people attended the Foreigner concert and helped the Levitt raise money for free music. We congratulate the Levitt and its hard working crew, and look forward to more great shows in the future!
