Tutu Jones Turns Texas Music Inside Out

By Tamara Loggins Listening to Tutu Jones’ newest album, Inside Out, is like being thrown back into ‘70s soulful music. He has these sweet, sensual tones that make you want to slow dance with your significant other.
I was pleasantly surprised to find someone who stays true the older R&B musical style. There’s a nice, subtle mix of rhythmic drum beats, beautiful guitar solos, and seductive vocals intermingled occasionally with a full jazz band. Jones is definitely in the league of powerhouse musicians, such as Marvin Gaye and Barry White. I suggest this work to anyone with an interest in classic R&B, or who wants to treat that special someone to a night of easy listening.
